Our first ever People Development Conference was a great success - a chance to celebrate those businesses in the debt collection, financial services and across other sectors who recognise the value in upskilling and empowering its people.
The event also included our first ever Graduation Ceremony, which gave us the perfect opportunity to celebrate the dedication and commitment of our apprentices and share in their achievements. It was a fabulous end to such an important event which brought like-minded people together and delivered thought-provoking presentations and discussions on such an important area for business. What was really pleasing to see was all the new faces in attendance and the energy they brought to the day. We saw a number of different roles across the delegate list including Heads of HR and Training, Learning Engagement Officers and Customer Experience Managers to name a few.
Not only did we recognise achievements on the day, the event itself offered a number of networking opportunities with the CSA’s Learning and Development team, including the coaches and tutors who were sharing their knowledge and insight throughout the day. It was great to see the dedication and support they give to the CSA apprentices and it was also a great opportunity for them to meet our member company representatives who attended on the day.
It will be great to see how this event grows as we continue to promote the importance of people development in both member companies and to our apprentice employers. We will also continue to promote the success of our apprenticeships beyond National Apprenticeship Week including a series of testimonials from the apprentices themselves. We have some exciting new work on the horizon which sees us launching new apprenticeship standards on Counter Fraud and Debt Advice as we continue our journey as a Main Provider on the Register of Apprenticeship Training Providers (RoATP).
We think it is important to remember that, at a time when technology and the use of AI is dominating conversations, employers in our sector and across financial services know that motivated, skilled and confident staff (who know their employers care about all aspects of their wellbeing) are a key contributor to an organisation’s performance. We look forward to more exciting announcements over the course of the year.
