Industry Trade Body Launches New Online Learning Platform

09 February 2022

CSA's Collections Learning Initiative (CLI) - Laying the foundations of collections capability

The Credit Services Association (CSA), the only UK Trade Body for the Debt Collection and Purchase Industry, and approved provider on the Register of Apprenticeship Training Providers (RoATP), has today launched a new Online Learning Platform to add to its extensive suite of training solutions. The new platform ensures credit and collections staff are trained and up to date with the latest best practice and regulations while demonstrating an organisation’s commitment to staff training and high standards.

Chris Leslie, CSA CEO, welcomes the new initiative; “Keeping teams up to date with the latest training and regulations isn’t always simple, so we’ve developed these bite-sized and easily accessible online modules to ensure firms across our sector have access to new skills at their fingertips. The modules are particularly useful as colleagues gear up for accreditation testing and focus on some of the key areas where regulators want to see raised awareness, such as support for vulnerable customers.”

The platform offers twelve different modules covering topics such as legislation, regulation, customers in vulnerable situations, compliance, trace and investigation, and team leadership. Each module sits on an E-Learning platform which offers features such as interactive videos, downloadable content, and the ability to work at your own pace and save your progress. It also allows participants to test their progress as they work through each module.

Fiona Macaskill, Director of Learning and Development at CSA says the interactive platform is testament to months of hard work behind the scenes by industry and learning and development experts, “This platform is an affordable and effective way to invest in staff learning and development tailored to individual and business needs. The modules are not part of a formal qualification but work alongside existing internal and external learning & development (including CSA apprenticeships and its Collector Accreditation Initiative) to lay the foundations of collections capability.”
