The Credit Services Association (CSA), the voice of the UK debt collection and debt purchase sectors, will once again host its annual UK Credit and Collections Conference on Thursday 9th September in Newcastle – and do so ‘in person’. Tickets are on sale
now via the UKCCC website.
UKCCC is CSA’s annual flagship event open to both members and non-members which attract credit and collection professionals from across the UK and Europe.
David Miles, Professor of Financial Economics at Imperial College Business School and former member of the Bank of England Monetary Policy Committee, is confirmed as a keynote speaker for the event. He will introduce the conference with an overview of
the current state of the economy and likely pathway as we emerge from the pandemic, drawing on his research on policy issues connected with financial stability and the setting of monetary policy, which explores ideas on the evolution of unfairness
in the distribution of resources."
The Conference will also feature panel debates and presentations from high-profile speakers, along with an exhibition showcasing industry suppliers’ innovative product offerings.
Following the successful format of previous years, the UKCCC will offer delegates sector-specific breakout streams so that they can tailor their event experience to suit their own personal business needs and interests. The 2021 streams will cover the
themes of: People & Performance including ways of working post-pandemic and Customer Service 2.0; Regulation, Compliance and Policy including early engagement, ESG responsibilities and looking at what is on the regulatory horizon; and Commercial
and business innovation covering SME collections as well as consumer credit trends.
The conference programme has been designed with the aim of helping firms to navigate the challenging times ahead, says CSA Chief Executive Chris Leslie: “With the anticipated removal of the remaining restrictions this summer, we expect to be one of the
first in-person events and we are delighted to be giving people the valuable networking opportunities that the industry has missed in the past 18 months.
“Our line-up of expert speakers will provide thought-provoking insight into how to put your people and your customers first, and also into how to meet the highest standard in order to build long term resilience and sustainability while we all navigate
the post-pandemic environment,” says Chris.
Chris says he is also looking forward to welcoming people in person as opposed to virtually: “It will the perfect occasion to launch our CSA Awards at the Gala Dinner, and to celebrate the outstanding performance, dedication and innovation from our members,
which have contributed to better customer outcomes at such a crucial time.
“Winning an award is a way for your team and individuals to feel valued, especially since they are being judged and recognised by their own Trade Association,” he adds.
“We hope that a CSA Award can reflect staff and company success, help to highlight the value of efforts made especially in these challenging times, and be used to reward the professionalism of your team and organisation. As we emerge slowly from the pandemic,
it is also an opportunity to appreciate and celebrate some truly outstanding achievements.”
CSA members can enter three different categories:
- CSA Merit Award for individuals
- CSA Team Award for departments or teams
- CSA Innovation Award for companies, teams or individuals
Nominations can be submitted via the CSA website up until the deadline of 12 July 2021.
The UK Credit & Collections Conference (UKCCC) will be held on the Thursday 9 September 2021 at the Crowne Plaza, Newcastle, and tickets are now on sale.
