The CSA is strengthening its Compliance and Regulation team by investing in two new management roles specialising in data and data compliance/standards and enforcement and risk management. Compliance Manager (Data) Reporting to the Head of Membership and Compliance, your key duties would be to support the Head of Membership & Compliance in maintaining member awareness of key regulatory and compliance developments, researching and communicating member and industry positions on regulatory and compliance issues to key stakeholders as part of influencing policy. To support in alerting members to key consultations and, where they impact on members’ operations, researching and responding to those consultations. To manage the Data Gathering Initiative, including analysing and aggregating data to identify membership and market trends and producing relevant reports. You would be responsible for internal data protection compliance, as well as supporting members with data protection and other compliance related queries. Compliance Manager (Standards and Risk) Reporting to Head of Membership & Compliance, you would support the Head of Membership & Compliance, the Head of Policy, the Chief Executive Officer and General Counsel to lead the CSA’s approach on Standards and Risk. Keep up to date with developments in the sector by liaising with members and understanding what is impacting their business, together with understanding where the Regulator and marketplace is heading. Provide compliance support and expertise to existing members including responding to Code and other industry standards specific queries. Create guidance and other supporting documents to assist existing members with Code and standards compliance and engage with industry Regulators, Legislators and other industry stakeholders when necessary. Support with identifying, researching and preparing summaries and responses to industry consultations and discussions papers where they impact on members’ operations, including direct engagement with industry Regulators, Legislators and other industry stakeholders as part of the consultation and response process. Manage standards and compliance with the CSA Code of Practice for existing member firms through the proactive management of the complaints process, including engagement with members through feedback, audit and monitoring, as well as contact with members’ customers and members of the public. Identify, manage and monitor risks across the Association and manage and maintain the risk register.
