Accessing funding to unlock vital training for staff

27 January 2023   (0 Comments)

Building a good customer experience does not happen by accident, it happens by design. As part of our ongoing commitment to deliver excellent customer experiences and a high-quality of customer service, we at Opos Limited have invested in a state-of-the-art online training platform, fully developed internal training programmes and schedules to aid in employee development and have invested significantly in external training and knowledge initiatives including the CSA’s Collector Accreditation Initiative (CAI) and the more recently launched Collections Learning Initiative (CLI).

In our initial discussions with the CSA, it became clear to us that the CLI was going to be the industry benchmark for compliant collections and would be an incredibly useful addition to our training syllabus; offering convenient access to high quality, flexible and tailored training materials.

Due to our close relationship with our local council departments, we discussed their willingness to help support Opos Limited in providing access to the CLI for all of our customer-facing employees. We were informed of an available grant designed purely for opportunities such as this and started the application process immediately. Our local council were fully supportive in the grant application and helped us with any uncertainty along the way. The approval process was swift, enabling us to engage very quickly with the CSA to enrol learners on the platform.

External training is a vital and valuable tool to attest to your employees industry, compliance and best practice understanding but the costs can be prohibitive. We would encourage members to speak with their local government/council contacts to discuss available grants and funding opportunities. In our experience they are only too happy to help and make the process very simple to understand and quickly provide approval.

Rob Sands, Head of Compliance at Opos Limited
