About the Organisation
Based in Newcastle upon Tyne, the Credit Services Association (CSA) is the only National Trade Association in the UK for organisations active in the debt collection and purchase industry. The Association, which has a history dating back to 1906, has just
over 300 member companies which represent 90% of the industry, and employ 15,000 people. At any one time its members hold up to £60 billion for collection, returning nearly £3 billion in collections to the UK economy per annum. As the voice of the
collections industry, our vision is to build confidence in debt collection by making the entire process clear, easy to understand and less stressful for all those involved.
About the Role
A vacancy has arisen within the Sales Department for a full-time sales administrator. Working closely with the Head of Sales, the role offers an exciting opportunity within a national, not
for profit, trade association for an individual with experience of sales administration. The Association also runs an apprenticeship academy and a large part of the role will be to support the sales function and onboarding process of new apprentices.
The ideal candidate would be someone motivated, confident, with excellent written and communication skills, have the ability to work using their own initiative, and be interested in a career in sales.
Purpose
-
To offer an effective and efficient administrative service to the Head of Sales, carrying out processes as required.

To manage the tender process, including identifying tenders, drafting with accuracy, using initiative to source information and complete responses.

To liaise directly with members, employers and customers on an outbound account management basis, working closely with the Head of Sales to pass on sales leads and manage the sales pipeline.

To manage record keeping on CRMs, and other bespoke databases as required.
Key Responsibilities:

Working closely with the Head of Sales on various campaigns, you will be required to identify leads, to promote and sell delegate places, sponsorships, and exhibitions places at CSA events and conferences to both members and non-members, using
a variety of sales tools including independent research, LinkedIn, and outbound telephone calls.

To manage the sales pipeline, passing leads to the Head of Sales and follow up on sales leads as required.

To account manage existing membership contacts, building a rapport with members, and to engage on a frequent basis with existing members, employers and contacts to promote CSA products and services, such as CAI, Insurance products and any other
services or events.

To work alongside the Head of Sales to source and process tenders for apprenticeship applications, ensuring that the Association is registered on relevant portals and ensuring that the information on these portals is correct and kept up to date.

To monitor tender opportunities for the apprenticeships that we provide.

To work with the Head of Sales to complete and submit tenders in an accurate and timely manner.

To use CRM systems as required, including BUD, to update and maintain accurate employer and member records.

To oversee sales department administration, including appropriate handling of contracts, tenders, bookings and sales invoices.

Liaison with L and D recruitment and enrolment team.
General

To Assist the Head of Sales with additional department processes as requested.To uphold the values of the Credit Services Association at all times and to carry out all duties with due regard to Safeguarding and Health and Safety Regulations

You may also be required to undertake some UK based travel on occasion to attend industry conferences.
Person Specification
Essential:
-
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
-
Good IT skills, including good knowledge of Microsoft Office and comfortable with technology/CRM packages.

Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work autonomously, and to handle several projects at any one time
-
Willingness to research and continuously develop skills and knowledge within a specialised area of financial services and apprenticeships.
-
Must have good attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
Desirable:
1 years’ previous experience of working within a customer service/sales administration role, including outbound sales contact. Education – A level qualified or above preferred. Experience of data processing/data entry. Experience of working with apprenticeships would be an advantage.
