Our vision
Our vision is to build confidence in the debt collection and debt purchase industry amongst member companies and the customers they deal with on a daily basis. Our aim is to make the debt collection process simple, clear and less stressful for those affected.
Our three primary roles
Engage
Representing members at the highest level with external stakeholders to highlight the work of members, to enhance the reputation of the industry, and to lobby for appropriate and proportionate regulation.
Promote
Promoting excellence and integrity in standards and culture across the industry.
Support
Facilitating a collaborative environment to share best practice for further improvement and ongoing professionalism of the industry.
How we aim to fulfil our vision

Building and maintaining relationships with industry regulators, government and key stakeholders to ensure regulation and legislation is proportionate, and to enhance awareness of the work of CSA members

Lobbying policymakers on matters of policy and law that affect CSA members and/or the sector.

Encouraging and participating in collaboration with industry members and stakeholders to implement best practice initiatives

Setting industry standards through our Code of Practice and member guidance, and upholding those standards via our complaints and disciplinary processes.

Supporting customer engagement with consumer-focused messaging and helpful resources, and pressing members to put customers at the heart of everything they do, so that they have the confidence to engage.

Building industry awareness and engagement by hosting events for members and industry stakeholders, aimed at disseminating news and developments and fostering cross-sector exchanges.

Driving up standards with a range of accredited training solutions for member and non-member staff, including our apprenticeship programme.
