Join the CSA for a practical and engaging workshop with global law firm Dentons on receiving and responding to customer requests for reasonable adjustments under the Equality Act 2010.
Following feedback from CSA Members, we are pleased to invite you to this workshop exploring how firms can navigate their responsibilities under the Equality Act 2010, and how to approach requests for reasonable adjustments.
Members have highlighted the challenges that can arise when responding to these requests, particularly where adjustments have already been implemented but customers continue to request additional measures, dispute steps already taken, or argue that their balance should be reduced or written off because of their access needs.
To support members in navigating these scenarios, Dentons will provide practical guidance on the legal framework of the Equality Act 2010 and how to assess and respond to requests in a fair, proportionate and legally robust way. The session will also touch on tackling AI generated requests, and how best to approach them in practice.
The session will cover:
-
The duty to make reasonable adjustments under the Equality Act 2010
-
Assessing requests for adjustments in practice
-
Navigating complex or ongoing adjustment requests
-
Ensuring decisions are proportionate, fair and legally robust
-
Emerging considerations, including customer requests made through AI
The workshop will include practical examples and a Q&A session, and is particularly relevant for:
-
Compliance professionals
-
