UKCCCC full programme now released with emphasis on Professional Development

The Credit Services Association (CSA), the voice of the UK debt collection and debt purchase sectors, has finalised the programme for its annual flagship event – the UK Credit and Collections Conference (UKCCC), to be held on Thursday 12 September 2019 at Crowne Plaza, Newcastle upon Tyne.

Following the welcoming address from CSA Chair John Ricketts, digital marketing expert Lexi Mills will be delivering a keynote presentation on ‘Technology, language and business’, and how to bridge the gap between young and mature generations. Lexi is President of The Future of Search Foundation and Managing Director of Shift6, which is an international consultancy which provides training, PR SEO services and support to agencies.

Plenary sessions are also being given by the FCA’s Head of Conduct Specialists Department In Supervision, David Blunt, about culture, business models and how this links to FCA’s portfolio approach to supervision. Maxim Dobrov of Hiscox will round off the day’s informative plenary sessions by talking about Cyber Security and real-world hacks – something increasingly topical currently.

Delegates will then have an opportunity to choose from a variety of sessions to tailor their day to suit their own personal business needs and interests.

These breakout sessions are organised into key themes of technology and innovation, regulation, and collections, as well as a showcase of services from CSA supplier members. The breakout streams include workshops on Cyber Security with practical advice on what materials and products can be used to protect against cyberattacks, and SM&CR and proportionate and cost-effective solutions to help businesses prepare for the December 2019 implementation date. Mental Health in the workplace will also be covered with a workshop on de-stressing after difficult customer calls, and managing employee wellbeing.

In addition to the FCA keynote from David Blunt, there will also be an FCA run workshop discussing Brexit, vulnerability and remediation.

Colleen Peel, Head of Marketing and Events at the CSA, says the programme has been crafted to offer engaging and valuable content: “The programme has been designed with a strong focus on professional development, business culture and business protection, and we have secured a strong line up of speakers for keynote presentations, panel debates and workshops to make this event as interesting as possible for all those in attendance.

“We want delegates to get maximum value from their attendance with topics that will support their own professional development, as well as helping the businesses they represent.”

There will be a number of breaks throughout the day for networking opportunities, and the event will close with the Credit & Collections Technology Awards, powered by Credit Connect.
