Code of Practice

The CSA Code of Practice has become the benchmark for the collections industry, playing a central part in the creation of the OFT Debt Collection Guidance. It is essential that all members follow our Code of Practice.

Our Code of Practice guarantees that the very highest standards are applied by our members; this not only adds value to the collections industry but adds confidence to your business, reassuring your current and potential clients that they can expect the very highest standards from your company. In fact, most creditors will not instruct a non CSA member to collect for them.

Our code has been evolving since its implementation in 1985. We continually update the code to ensure it is fully applicable to the modern collections market.

Members Obligations

Members obligations under the code are fairly self explanatory, however if you do have any specific queries, the Membership and Compliance Department are on hand to assist.
