Due to demand, and recent Industry events, the Association is holding a Members Only Compliance Meeting on 14th October 2009 at The Holiday Inn Kings Cross/Bloomsbury, London.

For those of you who have not attended a Compliance Meeting in the past, this is your opportunity to raise and air your views on industry compliance matters including any issues relating to the Financial Ombudsman Service, Information Commissioners Office, the Office of Fair Trading or any other matters of concern or interest to you.

Although an official agenda is yet to be prepared, I can confirm that Nigel Cates of the Office of Fair Trading has agreed to take part in an open floor Questions & Answer session and I am hoping to have a representative from the Financial Ombudsman Service also there to take questions.

Amongst other matters including current consultations and the Governments proposals within their White Paper, we will also discuss the new Anti Money Laundering Regulations and the requirement for Debt Purchasers to register with the OFT, as well as dealing the with CCA06 Notice requirements and their effects, section 77-79 requests and the effects new guidance may have on collectors and purchasers and issues relating to Claims Management and Debt Management companies together with consumer websites.

If you have any other matters you wish to raise, please provide details and we will endeavour to add them to the programme.

There is a nominal charge of £30.00 (+ VAT) per delegate to cover costs, however if you wish to send two or more delegates, there is a 10% discount being offered on bookings made before 1st October 2009. Please complete the booking form to confirm your place.
