Members only Half Yearly Meeting - Both Networking Reception & Conference Day

It has come round to that time of year again where we are pleased to announce the dates for the Members only Half Yearly Meeting. This year held on the 9th & 10th February at the ever-popular Marriott Leicester, we have a full line-up of presentations on topics/issues raised by our members.

As the affects of the Credit Crunch are still being felt by many, and as we continue into 2010 with a more positive outlook on the economy, the CSA/DBSG is committed to helping members in their business, providing further networking opportunities and also in saving costs.

That is why we are pleased to say that all prices for the 2010 conference will be held at the 2009 level, there will be no price increases and the same multi-delegate discount applies.

The HYM kicks off on the 9th with our Networking Reception which last year saw 130 members coming together to network with peers and colleagues. To encourage even further networking this year we have introduced “Topical Tables”. These topical tables will be hosted by our new CSA Board Members and DBSG Governing Committee and will range from; Compliance, Money Advice, Training, Public Relations and much more.

The table which gets you talking the most or where you have questions to pose to our new board/committee members simply take your seat on the night and let the questions and conversation flow.

After the events of the networking dinner, the full conference begins on the 10th February where we start with a message from our New President Roger Lucas, on what the plans, aims and objectives for the Association will be for the coming 12months.

We also hear from our DBSG Chairman Leigh Berkley on the aims of the DBSG and the achievements made so far.

We are also pleased to welcome back OC&C Strategy, after the popular presentation at the Annual Conference in September, partner Nigel Stirk will provide us with an insight into the changing strategies and ratios in the world of collections and debt buying and selling – this is not one to miss.

We then split our presentations into two streams looking at collections and debt buying and selling. Both of these workshops are very interactive and with a panel of presenters, we are certainly able to provide food for thought as well as topics for discussion amongst the floor.

Then it’s back – the most popular word in our industry this year “COMPLIANCE”.

That’s right, we have a dedicated compliance seminar for all members to update on current legislation and guidance as well as find out the need to know information in 2010!
